A new venue for PittStop (that we've tried to get for years) will open our Friday evening and late-night dances. The Twentieth Century Club’s renowned Art Deco Ballroom is considered one of the finest examples of this particular style that remains in the United States today. You will be taken back to the Roaring Twenties when beautiful and spacious ballrooms were the center of entertainment. Picture yourself and your partner dancing under grand chandeliers and an upper balcony surrounding the expansive hardwood dance floor, with a tiered backdrop of tables that take in the entire room.

A favorite venue by our dancers is reserved this year for Saturday afternoon, evening and late-night dances. It provides ambiance that is both elegant and grandiose. This is a beautifully detailed ballroom with its 50-ft. decorative ceiling, featuring a spacious and beautiful hardwood floor with a balcony above for watching or catching your breath. It is a spectacular showcase for our PittStop dance scene. This venue is a proven and long-time favorite at many prior PittStop events and is loved by our swing dance crowd. (And movie buffs please note that Anthony Hopkins was filmed here for scenes in Silence of the Lambs.)

Sunday afternoon and evening dances will be held at this most popular venue! This has been home to our Blues Workshop weekend (Steel City Blue)for many years and its been well proven for lindy hop and swing dancing at our past lindy exchanges. This spacious hall has plenty of room for dancing and socializing, with a hardwood floor just right for your dance shoes, and great air conditioning too. This is a university setting with convenient and ample parking nearby. It's a great way to spend two exciting dances during the PittStop Lindy Hop weekend!
