2025 Policies

Main points:

  • Please don’t come if you are sick or have a positive test! 
  • Masking is optional again this year
  • Testing & vaccination are encouraged, not required
  • We ask folks to do a home COVID and/or Flu test 24-48 hours prior to attending!
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 in the days leading up to PittStop ’25, will we defer your pass to next year or give you a full refund

Here are the details:

In keeping with the general trend found at dance events around the country, plus the changing nature of COVID, we updated requirements for attendance. Our policies are based on the honor system, and we hope everyone will comply to protect the health of our fellow dancers and wider community.

Testing

We encourage everyone to complete a COVID test within 24 hours before arrival at the event. This is our best chance of preventing transmission, given the rates of symptomless cases. We also encourage you to test after the event if you feel unwell, and let us know if you receive a positive COVID result.

Vaccination

We strongly encourage everyone who can to stay up-to-date on their COVID vaccinations. This helps prevent transmission for others as well as yourself.

Masking

PittStop is a mask-optional event, barring any new variants. We ask everyone to respect other dancers’ choices to either mask or abstain. On that note, consider having a mask on hand to wear while dancing with an individual who prefers to mask. If you’d like to reduce your personal risk, we recommend wearing high-quality N95 or KN95 masks. We’ll have some available at the door if you need one.

Attendance

We will be sad to miss you, but please do not attend if…

  • you feel unwell
  • you’ve had a positive COVID test within 10 days of the event (unless you’ve tested negative again post-sickness)
